Delicious Hampton’s Red Velvet Cupcakes

These Delicious Hampton’s Red Velvet Cupcakes are amazing! They are perfect for Valentine’s Day!
You can also make this recipe into a cake and then add Our Over-The-Top Meringue to make it show stopping!

Delicious Hampton's Red Velvet Cupcakes


2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 ½ cups sugar
1 tsp baking SODA
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cocoa powder

Step 1.Sift the above together in a medium bowl-save for later!
1 ½ cups vegetable oil
1 cup buttermilk
2 eggs, room temperature
2 T. red food coloring
1 t. WHITE vinegar
2 tsp. vanilla extract
Step 2. Beat the above ingredients with a handheld mixer- gently!
Step 3.Third-add the dry ingredients slowly until smooth and combined.
Step 4. Pour into Rose shaped Cupcake pans and bake 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Check to make
sure you do not over bake and make it too dry. ***This can be made into a cake by pouring into 2 8" round cake pans
Step 5. Let cool in pan 10 minutes and flip out on cooling racks

Cream Chees Icing
This Icing is to be used if you make a cake instead of cupcakes
1 8-oz cream chees softened
1 stick butter softened
2 tsp. vanilla
1 ½ boxes of conf. sugar

1. Beat cream chees and butter until smooth.
2. Add vanilla and then slowly add sugar
3. Beat on high after each sugar addition.
