Sunday Treats – Betty’s Triple Chunk Brownie Cake

This decadent dessert’s secret ingredient is using Betty Crocker’s help!  She thinks “inside the box” 🙂  This dessert is super simple and simply delicious with only 3 main ingredients!

Betty's Triple Chunk Brownie Cake

Ingredients

- 3 boxes of Betty Crocker Delights Supreme Triple Chunk Brownie Mix (plus the eggs and vegetable oil required by the mix)
- 3 cans Duncan Hines Creamy Homestyle Classic Chocolate Icing
- 1 large box Ferroro Rocher Hazelnut Chocolates
- optional ingredients: confectioner sugar, land o lakes butter and vanilla extract

Use 3 round 9" pans and grease the bottom with butter
Stir brownie mix water, oil and egg in medium bowl until well blended (no mixer needed!)
Then spread into the pans
Repeat 2 more times for other cakes - do each cake separately
Put all three cakes in the oven at the same time
Bake as directed on the box or until toothpick check comes out clean - do not over bake!
Take the cakes out of oven and remove from the pans using a knife around the edges
Flip on a cooling rack
Immediately smear 1 thin layer of icing to create a seal and make it moist and then allow to cool - approx. 1 hour
While cooling - mix all 3 cans of icing into a medium mixing bowl (if desired add confectioner sugar to thicken the icing and one teaspoon of vanilla extract can be added to increase flavor)
Now to assemble the cake, put the first cake layer on a cake platter, and put a layer of icing on top of the cake. Repeat this step with the other 2 cake layers. Then put icing all around the sides
To decorate the cake for the finishing touch, stack Ferrero Rocher round chocolates on top of the cake (use picture as the guide)

Delicious!
