Mini Iron Skillet Cherry Pies
Ingredients
- 2 ready made pie crusts
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of flour
- 1 can of pitted cherries drained (not cherry pie filling)
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/2 a cup of flour
- a pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon of butter
Step 1: Combine cherries, sugar, flour salt and lemon juice and stir together till it is juicy - set it aside
Step 2: Take 1 pie crust roll out and cut in half
Step 3: Place both 1/2 pie crusts in bottom half of mini iron skillet
Step 4: Put 1 tablespoon of sugar and 1 1/2 teaspoon of flour
and sprinkle in 2 iron skillets
Step 5: Pour in combined cherry mixture and divide into half each skillet
take 1 tablespoon of butter, cut into small slices dot pies with butter
Step 6: Roll out another pie crust - roll cut in half and top 2 mini pies with the crust
pinch it together and make 4 slits
Step 7; Sprinkle top with sugar and bake at 400 degrees for 1 hour or until it is bubbly
